As I read the first chapter, I realize how
difficult I find the overall study of
philosophy to be. I find myself reading,
re-reading, noting, and saying aloud
certain inferences and theories. I like it
that way because it serves to be a
challenging and rewarding exercise for
the brain. I agree with the statement that
all human beings are philosophers,
although to what extent differs. A life
would seem to me to be very shallow if
we don't wonder why there is a life, how
there is a life, when did life start, etc, etc.
We should all step out of our
self-indulgence and think of things bigger
than ourselves. I think it says a lot about
a person who at least thinks about these
issues.
