The problem with "other minds" is that without explanation, we can not know what is in "other minds". I remember when my children were born. As a new born, they both looked at me with what I thought was all knowing eyes. I was sure they knew just what was real. They had the wisdom of the ages from birth. Unfortunately, the world around them started to take on significance before they would explain to me what they already "knew". Very soon after birth, they began to lose the "all knowing eyes" and started the journey of learning what I and the world wanted to teach them. Now that they are both teenagers (13 and 16), I know what is "on their mind", I've been there, done that. But the communication gap between us leads us to believe the other person doesn't understand. When I was a teenager, "going out" meant physically going someplace, like on a date. The first time I heard my teenager say they were "going out" with someone, I asked, "where to?" and they looked at me as if I'd lost my mind.
