My name is Amy, and I next term I will transfer from Lane to start my nursing program. I have been going to LCC for awhile now, but didn't really know what I wanted to "be". I have had another phil. class, but didn't like the teacher- and the teacher didn't like me, so hopefully I will learn a little about philosophy in this class, and not so much brain-wash.
One thing I thought was interesting about ch.1 was mentioning that women were important philosophers, and acknowledged. In many of the beginnings of subject matter they were also important, but rarely mentioned. So far I really enjoy reading the book, and like the style of writing.
