Greetings all,

I'm Nathan and I love critical thinking. I'm taking this class after reading Sartre and Heidegger last term on my own time. My mother named me 'little thinker' sometime around the age of 3, for I would sit about endlessly and stare off into space and when queried about what I was doing (i wasn't really_doing_anything, but that's up to perception i suppose!) I would say "Just thinkin'." Then in 4th grade, I was dubbed by someone as "The Little Professor". In light of all this monikering and the fact my 27th birthday is due on Wednesday, I figured to have my handle be "little thinker". In October of '99, I visited Japan and it gave me the chance to see Eastern philosophy in the flesh. Japan is a westernized country, but there are still strong remnants of the old age. I then followed that trip with one to Europe. That being said, I look forward to the term ahead and all you brainy classmates to get some good discussion flowin'. Aragato! (goodbye in japanese)
