So, let me get this straight, Thales thought
everything was water, Anaximander thought
everything was indeterminate, Pythagoras
thought everything was numbers, Heraclitus
thought everything was changing, Parmenides
thought nothing ever changes and Socrates
thought he knew nothing? Are we to draw the
conclusion, then, that reality is what each
individual perceives to be real?
