My name is Perry Wright, I have lived in Eugene for about 3 years now, and i am originally from Grants Pass. I am taking this class to fulfill credits for my Oregon transfer degree. I work full time 3 days a week up in Beaverton Oregon, then I spend 4 days a week down here in Eugene going to school. The thing I find most controversial about chapter 1 is that Socrates spent his entire life learning about philosophy, and when he is close to finding everything he has been looking for, he gets punished by death, now i find that very ironic.
