whenever I use that method for example in my program I'll write

Random generate = new Random();

int = generate.nextInt();

when I compile it says "cannot resolve symbol" and it's pointing straight to the dot operator between generate and nextInt();

I'll try again, I've been using a different text editor to write my programs and that might be part of the problem, thank you all for the input I appreciate it greatly
