I'll try and help you out the best I know how. I downloaded the cs1.Keyboard file, extracted it and ran the sample Echo.java file through TextPad without any problems.

Not knowing what you did to download and extract the file, I'll tell you what I did (which worked for me). BTW - I run Windows XP, but that shouldn't make a difference with a download and extraction.

> From the website provided by Jerry, I clicked on the cs1jar.zip file to download. I saved (downloaded) this file to my desktop. On my desktop, it looks like a filefolder with a zipper on it.

> I then clicked this filefolder to open it. Within this filefolder is a file named cs1.jar. DO NOT COPY THIS FILE TO THE DIRECTORIES JERRY STATED. You need to extract this file. On my computer, I had the option that stated "Extract all files". You might have something different, but non-the-less, you need to extract this file.

> You should be asked where to extract the file too. I extracted it to my desktop.

> Another folder was placed on my desktop titled cs1 jar. The extracted file is within this filefolder. The extracted file is named cs1. On my computer it states it is an Executable Jar File.

> To check and see if you have correctly extracted file, right click the file and view properties. If it says "Opens with: javaw", then it should be the right extracted file.

> If you have the file extracted correcly, move this file to the directories stated by Jerry.

Sorry for the indepth statement, but without talking to you, I only wanted to provide you with as much info as possible in order to help you out.
