OK, I have the study guide part figured
out. I was looking at the work-book while
you were referring to the green hand-out.

#11: Textbook, ch. 3, pgs 77-78 names
and locates the lobes (with nice
graphics). Functions are assigned to the
lobes according to their major cortical
responsibilities. The question is better
phrased as: What are the functions of the
major cortical areas of the lobes?
The occipital lobe is composed of the
primary visual & visual association
cortices and is thus responsible for
processing visual signals and then
integrating them with other sensory input
and with motor coordination thus
enabling an appropriate response to the
environment.

The temporal lobe contains the auditory
association cortex & more visual
association cortex. It integrates sound
input with visual input and produces an
audio/visual/spatial map of the world
around us.
