I have 3 things to share with you all.
1) I just requested a "free copy" of Bioinformatics and the Human Genome =Project curriculum module. I thought this might be useful for Bi112. If =you want to request your own (it is free prior to Jan 31 2003) go to =http://www.bscs.org/ You may want to also check out the Howard Hughes =Holiday lecture on genes/proteins. A free video or DVD with curriculum =materials willbe available spring too (http://www.hhmi.org) Someone =should request a copy (just in case I forget). Last site to check out is =http://www.genome.gov/Education/

2) I talked with Jessica this morning about the "transferability" of Ch112 =to OHSU. Although this is preliminary it look like OHSU nursing program =will accept Ch112 instead of Ch104 along with 105 and 106 sequence. She =will let us know when she finds out more.

3) I request that you all discuss the followings: Either list in the =catalog or ask Jessica and Shirley to recommend that Biobonds not be the =the first college class students take (maybe recommend the study skills =class for A&P students or medical terminology)
