One of the questions that was presented was whether or not you believe in having a soul or a body. Personally I would have to say both. The only problem in saying something like this to Descartes is that there is no way to prove that we have souls, in fact a lot of people believe that we don't.
After Descartes states that the Arch Deceiver created the entire world to fool us, he realizes that he KNOWS that HE exists. The reason being is that he can say "I exist" "I am here" "I know that I exist therefore, I must" This proves to him that he knows that he exists. Which also says to him that we must have bodies. A soul is something that cannot ever be proved. I guess in a way it is the same with bodies if you think about the brain in the vat theorie. But a body is much easier to believe in since we know (or think we know) that we have them. My question is, if we were a "higher being" and had never experienced human form, would we believe in a soul or a body? Isn't having a body sort of a bias?
