I wanted to comment on some of the questions that the prof. proposed, but find that understanding what Hume means to be challenging. I think that he has good points regarding miracles. Even today, we see how masses are tricked, so why not in those days. I am not sure if he could be convinced of miracles because he requires proof. I think that his basic "cause and effect" theories still show in this reading. He is still looking for that missing "necessary connection". Whether or not to trust eyewitness is a tough one. It reminds me of the experiment done at a bank I worked for years ago where we watched a robbery and then had to write down everything we remembered. The results were amazing. Takes us back to that "perception thing".
