Ah, but he is relying on the
predominate ( of the time ) suppositions
about God. Those suppositions being
science and doing good for its own sake.
On a level far removed from our own
these would appear just as quaint and
backwards as Descartes appear to us.
Our god has been becoming Science.
It has been used to explain all of our
questions about the unknowable.
Instead of relying on the religious
doctrine, Scientific method has been
invoked. From high priests, or clergymen,
we have been turning to scientists.

The first definition covers some things
that would not be considered to be within
the realm of science, but there are many
that fall within science. From my point of
view they would be; Nuclear power - black
magic, Medical science - vodoo,
metiorology - divination... the list goes on
for the different subcategories of magic
and science.
The second definition, well that is easy
to explain how that relates to magic, can
anyone explain the scientific principles
behind the magic of a 350-hemmi with a
quad barrel Holly carburetor?

As I sit here with my warped and
twisted perspective, I will hazard a
prediction. The end of science as the
predominant philosophy is at hand. Its
downfall is being heralded by the ends of
its ability to explain things. The end of its
ability to explain things is this: Quantum
mechanics. This is the beginning of the
breakdown of the paradigm. I look
foreword to seeing what will come next.
