Theories of Knowledge

What I have to say coincides with what a lot of other people had to say about this Meditation. Descartes says that "what made a belief true was its being "clear and distinct" that is being of such certainty that one could not possibly doubt it." But, that is a very ethnocentric thing for him to say. People have their beliefs (for the most part) because that is the way they are raised, therefore, they believe what they are taught what is right but to other people they may have been taught that their beliefs were wrong. Which means that depending on how you were raised, you will have a different belief system which to YOU may seem "clear and distinct."
