But would you introduce your child to
Hitler's "Mein Kampf" when he or she was
10 without editorial comment? One part
of Locke's "white paper" analogy is the
maleableness of "human nature" and the
impressionability of children. If you fill the
"white paper" with unfiltered anti-social
ideas, you will get anti-social behavior.
There will be no "innate sense of right
and wrong" to guard the child against
this, as Descartes might think.
