I also believe that soul is more certain than the body. In the 2nd meditation Decartes proves in his own mind that at least he knows he can feel emotions and have confusion. Because he can do those things he knows that he exists. He also said that his body could be an illusion. A deceiver could be putting those images in our minds. That would still mean that we have a mind or soul, but not necessarily a body. Does that make any sense? I am still trying to explain it to myself.
