Theist- one who believes in the existence of God
Atheist - one who does not believe in the existence of God
Agnostic - One who is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism.

Scriven, an atheist, says: The burden of proof lies with the theist. We should assume there is no God unless someone can prove there is one.

the CRI says that one should begin as an agnostic. Have an open mind about God and then look at all the evidence there is for his existence.

Subjectivity -
the problem with subjectivity is that we tend to cling to our own beliefs and reject contrary ones.
How do we know that we're right and others are wrong?

be willing to admit when you're wrong
avoid passionate attachment to beliefs
