-The laws of nature have no exceptions<br>
a miracle is an exceptions to the laws of nature therefore, a miracle cannot occur.<br>
<br>
-What is a miracle<br>
A. extraordinary, out of range of human experience<br>
B. supernatural, non-physical, spiritual, cannot be explained materialistically<br>
<br>
-Principle of Credulity- you are justified in believing a report under normal circumstances unless given reason to doubt it.  This does not apply to miracles.<br>
-Burden of proof always lies with the person in an extraordinary or supernatural claim.<br>
<br>
What is right about Hume's argument:<br>
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence<br>
<br>
Objections: 1. Contradicts his views on cause and effect.<br>
            2. Maybe undiscovered laws of nature could validate supernatural<br>
            3. Laws of nature aren't fixed but evolving<br>
            4. Argument is anti-empiricist in that it is a a-priori deduction<br>
