I agree with you Kim. With the unemployment rate now, I don't understand how our government is taking away even more jobs by replacing people with machines. For me it's a catch 22. I sometimes enjoy the quickness of not having to deal with people. It is a lot quicker to just put your info into a machine and get your result. But at the same time it is very dehumanizing. I think that is one of the problems in our society. Its like people don't even know how to act when they see someone face to face. They are so used to typing something on the computer or using some other kind of machine to communicate. People are losing their people skills. This is especially bad for children. They will not thrive at the same rate without human interaction. It is a proven fact that preemies have a better chance of living if they have extensive human touch in their first few weeks. Toddlers need loving and cuddling to grow. And our society is replacing everything with cold steel. I think the generation that is going to be most affected by this is our childrens. Honestly, how easy is it to plop a kid in front of the tv, instead of play with them? Parents get so preoccupied with keeping up in our world, they leave their kids behind to fend for themselves. To me it is very sad. I think we might just be better off back 40 years ago, without all the technology. I know I can live without it!
