Exactly right, humans are being replaced by machine that don't talk back or make waves. It's cheaper, and no extras like insurance are required. It's all corporate politics, and the bottom line is once again the dollar. The downfall is that this is the kind of thing that will result in our capitalist society going under, and a whole lot of change reactions to follow. We have become automated, it's easier, and cheaper.
