I agree with all of your points. Competition is a major factor in schooling today. I have worked on many group or team projects, but in almost all of them tasks were delegated and individual roles performed, This was usually followed by grading yourself and the other individuals from the group, which usually meant giving yourself a better grade to make it look like you did the majority of the work. I have run into this many times. Teamwork should be emphasized more in today's schools. By making people work together from different levels of society, it could help lead to better relationships and more respect being given upwards and downwards in the social hierarchy.
