When I was younger I was placed in the faster track classes. This was actually a very good thing for me because I was getting bored in class, and then I would talk and get into other trouble. But as opposed to what the book stated, {and how you stated you thought kids would react} I didn't feel superior. I actually felt like a "geek" because all of my other friends were in the regular classes. I actually tried really hard to get out of the fast track classes. When I got into high school I felt better about it, because a lot of people I knew were in them. But there was one group of girls, who definitely gained the superior attitude the book talks about. They were the rich girls who thought they knew everything. {Maybe them being rich gave them a better advantage to get into those classes in the first place, like E&Z talk about.} I do think that school should track, but they need to do a better job of motivating the lower track students to move up and reach their full potential. In doing this, schools could help produce a better future for a lot of kids.
