Great topic, one that interests me as well. I liked your questions about if more people use P2P file sharing for discovering new artists or pirating current ones. Also, I can't remember if you asked this or not, but why is it that, in general, independent artists are more friendly towards file sharing as opposed to "professional" ones? Wouldn't it be good publicity and incentive to buy albums?
