 Your religion tells you that homosexuality is wrong. You also believe (I think) that God is the one who will judge, and not us. So are you going to tell two people who've been monogamous for years, have bought a house together, and will most likely stay together that they can't legally be married? Being married does have some benefits that aren't religious in any way, such as employer provided health insurance for the spouse (if they're lucky enough to have that option) and Social Security survivor's benefits.
To refuse these things to a loving, life-long partner simply because they are the same gender seems to me to be mean spirited, and not morally defensible.
Keeping gay marriages out of your church is one thing. To keep it out of society is quite another.
