The question of why we are in school in a good one. My own personal experience for being in school is because I wanted something better for my life. Face it, we do stuff away from the family. Nobody that I know gets paid to stay at home with the family. It would be nice, but it's not realistic. I wanted to accomplish more (not for money even though the money will be nice) than what I am doing at my present job. I work at a tire store. One day I was stacking tires and thought to myself, "I really don't want to be doing this when I'm 30." (I'm 27) Going to school will give me the opportunity to better myself (and my wallet) but also it will allow my family to enjoy the benefits of a happier daddy and not one who hates his job and the wife and kids thinks he is disgruntled because of them. If this wasn't the case we could all go down and flip burgers and see how long the family stays together. Money is one of the major issues in a divorce. Family is very important and the roles that each family member play is important. I agree that society is breaking the family apart. Society tells people to become something they are not or that they should (or want) to become something they are not. Every family has problems, not every family blows up because of these problems.
