I have two conflicting views about gay marriages. Every time I think that one view out weighs another, I realize that I'm not taking everything in consideration.
My first view is based upon my religious beliefs. Those beliefs , like my fellow student, Meorah Solan, oppose gays and lesbians. Even if a person isn't religious Darwin's "Survival of the Fittest" dictates that we must procreate to keep society going strong.
My other view is based on people I've met. I've had some pretty nice friends that are gay. Some of these friends fall into stereotypes, they would never get married and oppose everything pro-family. They also are in the highest risk factor for Aids , because they have multiple partners.Other friends would fit very nicely into a gay/lesbian family. They are easy going , strong in a monogamous relationship ,and would provide a good foundation for a family.I have my own stereotypes and prejudices to deal with.I believe that people should be able to get married regardless of their sexuality even though, personally I disagree with that lifestyle
