I think the key to the inner city violence issue that even E&Z didn't really address is that the portrayal of the violence in media is very destructive because it distorts the root of the problems in the inner city to "us" the viewer. Then we come by and make our judgements of what "the problem is with these people" out of those media stereotypes. Our twisted media views lead to US being insensitive and not doing anything to take the inner city violence issue as an injustice that the nation must address as a whole...

I mean, It's been how many years and we still have not addressed this issue????
