I think that media is especially dangerous when it comes to youth. Music videos nowadays appal me... and the only thing that is worse in regards to the videos is hearing the artists and record producers state how they care about their audience, fans, and our society.

Do any of you watch the O'Reilly factor? There was an excellent article about media and the negative things in it. He focused on a new kind of rock that is very violent (forgot the name), hip hop/rap culture, movies, porn and maybe something else too. I didn't get to see it all cause my friend and I started to get into a debate about rap music.

In my perspective, if you believe in it, your actions will represent those beliefs, or a continual striving to represent those beliefs. A secular rap artist like Snoop is mistaken if he thinks his en devours are representing his concern for his people. Many people say artists just reflect what is already there, but the context in which it is framed makes all the difference.

I bump (listen to) Christian Rap... they talk about the same things many other rap artists talk about but their context is to confront issues, to save eternal destinies, to bring joy to painful situations and open eyes of the world. Those people care about who they sing to. I am ashamed of the way many rap artists treat women, children, violence, money, themselves, and my Daddy my Savior my Husband the triune Jesus Christ.

If any of you ever decide to sing songs that promote things the Bible clearly denounces, please spare me a "I want to thank God" speech if you get an award... they should thank Satan because they gave all their God given inspiration, guidance and talent to him and let him guide them.
