I agree with you that women have made advancements in society. But I do not agree that women are portrayed any better than they were ten years ago in advertising. If you look in any fashion magazine or catalog for women , all you see are stick figures and emaciated women. While I don't ago that we should overweight women in magazines ( that would be equally wrong as anorexic women) I do believe there should be a healthy medium. Especially in magazines targetes for teen girls, since they are the most influenced age group.
