You are both totally right! It is very
frustrating to me how large businesses
take over. I for example am from Cottage
Grove. There were a lot of people who
were opposed to having a wal-mart come
to town. This is obvious for the apparent
reasons of wal-mart taking over all the
small businesses we already had
established. Now don't get me wrong
wal-mart has been a great thing. I mean it
sure beats driving to Eugene all the time
to go shopping. So the convenience is
definitely there. But our local businesses
that have survived wal-mart still must
struggle to keep up with the ever so low
wal-mart pricing. Its sad because I really
think it is wal-marts goal to overtake
small towns. Even though those small
towns may need it to grow it still hurts the
"little people" in some way!
