There have been a lot of improvements in the way media portrays women but not in the way they portray men. Not only do they not try to sell cleaning products to men, but they still try to sell this monkey attitude that the strong male is always the right one. Not only does this have a negative impact on men(making them identify with aggressive behavior)but it has a very detrimental effect on women. Through advertisements and dramas men are portrayed as strong aggressive and violent. Women are made to believe that only these man apes are suitable companions and are more apt to tolerate violent behavior as a result.
