I do not believe Thompkins got what she had intended on getting from her research paper, but I think she came out with a much bigger picture of truth. She discovered truth sometimes does not exist, and perception does. Thompkins probably intended on just writing a research paper, when really she learned a much more important experience. She was able to learn what truth really is. Maybe Thompkins did not realize at first how much she had learned through her research paper on Indians because she really did not have any information that she knew as truth. However, Thompkins wrote a perfect research paper because it showed many different views.
