For the most part I agree with the Representative Democracy. The one issue I have a problem with is that the ones in charge of representing the American pubic are not representative of the population as a whole. The elected officials in charge of making decisions might have a bias to the rich and powerful because most of them are. Therefore poverty and minorities get pushed to the side. Yet, on the upside of representative democracy I see potential because of the interaction between the masses and representatives. We as people constitute the right to vote for the people that share common goals and interests. Therefore if we use our rights to vote then we have done our part. The problem is most of the people complaining about our economy are the one that don't vote. That is where the problem lies in my mind.
