Political campaigns are set up from the beginning for the very wealthy, and were set up by people who themselves had money. Our system is unfair. If an average person who was moraly correct, and had a good education, who by all means would be a better leader, than another who was wealthy and running for office, the wealthy always win, because of the cost to run in a campaign. Further more, I would compare this to my own scenario, I was granted custody of my children when I got a divorce, and rightfully so given the circumstances, but immediatey afterward, I was served with an appeal that cost me another $4,000 which is actually very cheap, but I had already paid thousands in attorney fees, and I wa pretty much broke, getting no help and having to come up with more money I didnt have, when I had already won my case. My point is that you can win in court, then be subject to many other problems. The same goes here with politics, you may get enough people to like you, but without the funds, you just can't get the word out or advertise yourself as a candidate. Also you must choose to be either a democrat or republican or the government won't give you any funds. Why can't we be a new branch? My idea is that the poorest people in this country, that of the majority get together, and combine their resources to fund a candidate from our social class, to run for offices, then we will see some changes. Example one guy owns a printing press or newspaper, another has an ink supply line, another is good at organizing events, and so forth. Just a thought.......
