Why did Miller reject Christianity and Apologetics?
v Witnessed sincere members of other faith.
v Come to accept value in non-literalistic faith (Can fiction express “truth”? yes)
v Came to realize few accept faith based on arguments.

Bomborg- analyzes the debate of Craig and Crossan.
v Craig overstated his case-he makes it sound stronger than it really is.

Examples:
v Craig on Crosson: You have a Peter Pan Theology.
v Crossan on Craig: Naïve literalist- thinks historical Good Samaritan is necessary for a story to have value.

Borg: Relevancy of the Empty Tomb
We can believe in the Resurrection in a metamorphic sense and it’s still important and meaningful.
Resurrection-The “spirit of a person’s life and teachings being present.
Resuscitation- a body coming alive after being dead.

Objection to Borg: Why are the empty tomb stories in all gospels?
