The Apologetic or evidentiary approach to understanding on the faith reason issue. Christianity can be proved to any open reasonable honest person. Christianity is reasonable maybe a little leap of faith is necessary.
Craig and Blomberg come from the approach that rational proof is necessary but not sufficient for belief.
The Fideist(faith) thinks that rational argument is unnecessary, even counter productive, faith is separate and beyond reason.
Miller sees apologetics as like "preaching to the choir". He doesn't believe that it converts anyone to Christianity or at least very few. Apologetics usually only helps believers rationalize their beliefs.
Why did Miller abandon his beliefs in apologetics?
1. He ran into members of other faiths that also sincerely believed their faiths were right.
2. Romans 2 acts 17 Maybe honest seekers get it wrong but are saved anyway.
