Early Christians kept the Jewish law
-Exception: Paul, anti jew law
-Gentiles also welcomed into God's kingdom
-Paul for the most part responsible for
Christianity to focus on non jew. Ritual
and ceremonial law doesn't apply after
Jesus' death, moral law does

If Jesus was a liar (or lunatic) then how can
you trust other things he has to say?
-Beliefs make sense/ they are things people
should already know
-Is this analogous to an "expert" situation
where a flawed individual may have good
things to say

What was Jesus' main message?
-Compassion, relationships, loving god and
other people, forgiveness?

Crosson:
-Jesus spoke in metaphors, didn't intent to be taken literally (same with gospel writers). Compares to Aesop's fables.
