MARK- Had strong emphasis on immanent coming of gods kingdom on earth.

Mark 10:45

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
Parable of a strong man.

JOHN-Emphasis mostly on here and now!

Liberal view on christ's second coming-
Christianity's message changed when Jesus did not come as expected.
Conservative view on christ second coming- Different emphasis,people just misunderstood jesus words.

ARGUMENT ON WILL REAL JESUS PLEASE STAND UP

1. Jesus rose form the dead (best explanation of the historical evidence).
2. If #1 is false nothing can be salvaged from christianity. (chistianity should be rejected as false).
a. What about moral, ethical teachings?
(if jesus did not rise) sermon on the
mount. where is the social justice?
b. Does morality matter w/out God?
Maybe god does exist? The maybe
god exist at xiality is false
although some of his teachings are
true.
