Mohamed had a huge sexual appetite. He had up to 22 wives. Sura 4:3 says that there is a limit of 4 wives.
Zaynab was an adopted sons wife, he took her to be his own wife after convincing his son to let him do so. this unsettled allot of people at the time.
His favorite wife was Aesha he married when she was 5 or 6. the marriage was consummated at 8.
He had a low view of women but he still improver their rights: He outlawed infanticide,legislated that a women's testimony is worth half a mans,women get half an inheritance.
