**EXTRA CREDIT ASSIGNMENT** **Due Thurs.06-13 2-3 pgs.typed Write about beliefs you came to cclass with and any questions it raised about their justification? What plans do you have to change your belief forming processes in the future? .



*Liberation View of Doxastic Responsibility: ...It's not immoral to form beliefs in a way not conductive of truth; just imprudent or foolish.



* Do we have a responsibility/duty to believe the truth or, do our best to as act so to form true beliefs...Maybe other people will feel the effects of the person who wills to believe something false by changing attitude.



* What is the difference between a fact and a value/belief? * Is there a diference between "bankruptcy isn't bad..." and "being tourtured isn't bad..?"



* Is truth (true beliefs) intristically valuable, or only a mean to other goods/goals(ie. happiness)?



* Painful truth or, Comforting lie? "my wife is having an affair"(Truth) or, "my wife is faithful"(lie)?



* Pojman on Liberation view of Doxastic Responsibility, "False beliefs should only be fostered under the most extreme circumstances. In general, it is wrong to violate epestimistic duties."



* Does morality attatch to belief, of only behavior?
