Final From Thurdays the 6th until Wednesday the 12th.....
-Descriptive volitionism says that it's psychologically possible to form a belief through an act of will. (to "volit"or will the belief)
-Perspective VOlitionism says it's not only possible to form a belief through an act of will but justified to do so.
Indirect VOlitionism ex.= assertiveness training, self esteem workshop, brain washing which shows certain conditioning can change belief but is not volitionism unless you do it yourself
-Volitionism is freewill with regard to beliefs
Logic of Belief Argument
- TO believe a proposition is to accept it as true (corresponding with the way things are) but there is no logical connection between your desires and the way things are. So believing something on the basic desire (because you want to believe it) is contradictory and irrational
-I believe p even though the only reason is that i want to.
-I believe p but p is false
-x is wrong and i do it as much as i can
