Prescriptive Volitionism: View that it's not only possible to form a belief through an act of will, but we're justified to do so

*Both have direct and indirect varieties

Indirect Volitionism examples: Assertiveness training or self-esteem workshops

Volitionism, as a whole, is free will in regard with your beliefs

Logic of Belief Argument: to believe a proposition is to accept it as true; corresponding with the way things are

*But there is no logical connection between your desires and the way things are. Thus, if believing something on the basis of desire is contradictory or irrational
