B. Externalism says no.

A. Internalist --> Subective
justification - you can't be blamed
for your belief. Your belief is
reasonable given your
circumstance. -
Relative to culture/individuals.
B. Externalist --> Objective
justification - Right relationship
between the belief and the
objective truth. Beliefs caused in
the right way caused by reliable
mechanism.
3. Pojman: Justification is a
combination of these two forms.
"Externalism with an internalist
constraint."
4. Do we have control over our beliefs?
A. Direct control - decide what to
believe through an act of will -
seems difficult if not impossible
for sensory beliefs. - logic &
math - basic historical beliefs.
B. Indirect control - decide through
impartial weighing of evidence. -
conditioning yourself to favor
what you want to believe. -
Affirmations/hypnosis - seeking
out social situations.

to yield true beliefs.
