Ideas/perceptions aren't representative of the real world; they are the real world.

Dualism both mental (spiritual) and physical (material) things exist (Locke)

Berkeley (soul) minds ideas only the mental and spiritual exists.

Simple ideas represent qualities (redness, squareness,temp.) both primary and secondary.

Complex ideas represent only things not individual qualities.
