Problems to Coheretism
*Problems excepting new ideas that go against your belief. Review, blinded by ideological belief.
*Dogmatism
*Fixation of beliefs
*Stereotypical thinking
*Prejudice
*May allow non-rational association bad experiences emotional scars to color judgement ex: eating dogs or horses our cultural belief says it bad. But really compared to pigs or cows what’s the difference. Can fall in a pitfall. Other ex: levitation clam (skepticism), cold fusion.
*Consistency is a necessary but not sufficient condition for truth. You have to keep your beliefs consistent.
Benefits to coheretism
*Shortcut the belief
*Use of other (hopefully) justified beliefs to analyze future ones (beliefs)
(Note: heart of epistemology…. Ex: Child from religious family. He was abused. Connects religion and abuse.

Direct or Naïve Realism:
Common sense view of the world. What you see is what you get. We perceive the world pretty much as is. Rejects because of physics were aware of an object because of light wavelengths etc. We really do experience with just sight. ex: the star example might not be there in real life when you see it. Problem we can only see the world form a certain spectrum a narrow rang o data. (doesn’t work)

Phenomenalism:
View we only have access to sense data and words in ordinary lang. refers to sense data not to an external world. All we know about is the phenomena of objects and experiences. ex: you say “paper” you and others know what you’re talking about. Objects things are permanent possibilities of sensation.
