I agree with much of what you wrote. I have worked in horribly boring jobs with little or no human contact. However, one thing that is great about our country and our capitalist system is choice. People have the freedom to choose just about whatever they want.

If a person is unhappy with their job, they have the ultimate freedom. They can leave the job that day (or, to be kind to the boss, with a few weeks' notice). This is one of the very best rights that the people of this country have. If we want to have a good life, it is up to us to go out and get one.

While I believe it is true that living in a purely capitalistic society would not be nearly as enjoyable as our country, neither would living in a country where creativity and entrepreneurship is stifled by a government that treats everybody the same. People should be rewarded for sticking their necks out and trying to make a difference. That is the beauty of capitalism. It gives everybody the ultimate choice, whether to have a good life or a bad one.
