I suppose in a perfect world a socialist society would be ideal. But we all know this is not a perfect world. I understand the positive and negatives to both. At this point I think that a capitalist society is the best option. We still have a few socialist qualities since there is no "Pure Capitalist" society nor will there ever be. I think that if we lose the competition that our society has there will be no drive to work hard and succeed in what we do. Cams gives us the quote, "Without work all life goes rotten. But when work is soulless, life stifles and dies"(pg.380). If there is no advancement in the work place than the work will become soulless because there won't be anything to strive for. I realize that a capitalist society also creates a world based on greed but there is no way a socialist society won't hold some form of greed too. If its not the people getting greedy than its the government. There will always be a controlling party that will be greedy.
