Hi to everybody,

My name is Britt McEachern, and I am taking this class because it is a topic that is thoroughly interesting to me. I am 22 years old, and I am planning a double major in history and business, with aspirations of attending an Ivy League Law school.

Many people talk about changing the world, but few actually get around to doing it. There is a common impression that politicians only care about money, power, and influence. Whether this idea is true or not, I want to make sure that it will not be true in the future. Rather than changing the system from the outside with protests, however, I want to change it from the inside, starting with running for student body president of LCC. The system revolves around people, and in order to change the system, one has to know people. That is why this is such an enticing subject for me. I like learning all I can about people and the way they interact with one another, the subjects that are covered both in psychology and sociology.

I am looking forward to getting to know all of you.
