Not everything in textbooks is always true. It can be stated facts that an author has complied to form a step by step non-fiction book that explains a topic. The information that the author has got from other sources may not be valid or correct. By stating that certain information is correct without really doing extensive research can be almost devestating to the reader. The reader is then under the impression that it is correct since the reader may not know any better. Research constructed to find correct information about a subject to form a paper. The same is with a textbook. Who knows if all the actions are correct but it is a close guess.
