I think research papers should be written however the writer wants it to be, In first, third whatever as long as it is readable and straight forward. Research papers are not a discovery because the facts or statistics or whatever were already "discovered". No matter what a paper will always be bias because it is human nature to prefer one side over the other and that is how people will write. Sometimes facts are omitted because of peoples bias and that is their choice because it is their paper....what else can I say.....duuuuuhhhhhhh
